The Business Brokers actively encourage and support businesses of all sizes to get involved in the process of regeneration in North Staffordshire. The Brokers do this by explaining and signposting a range of benefits and initiatives available to businesses, and by gaining the commitment of those businesses to provide resources to help communities, schools and voluntary groups. The team then ‘broker’ these relationships and help to overcome any barriers that hinder progress.
We meet businesses and provide support in various ways as one size rarely fits all. The Broker team organise and deliver events such as business fairs, networking events, business start-up competitions. We attend networking events to showcase our work, meet with businesses on a one-to-one basis, help organise business forums, help businesses receive media attention from the community work they are involved in, and we meet with the local community organisations to see what support they would benefit from.
Simply put, when someone needs ‘something’, we will help to find someone who can provide that ‘thing’. This can range from business support, such as funding and loans, business mentors, marketing and sales advice or recruitment solutions, to helping businesses get involved with a community project or relationship.
